Their products are sold through their offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, China, India and the USA and through a wide range of worldwide distributors.

 

Job Location and Reporting

The HR Head is a full-time leadership role, working from offices in Bengaluru, India, and reporting to the Group Head in the UK.

Job Summary

As the HR Head, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organisational success by overseeing all aspects of human resource management. You will lead and direct the various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, succession planning, training and development, HR compliance, and fostering a positive work environment.

Working in a manufacturing company with a diverse employee base ranging from blue-collar to highly technical staff across multiple offices across various countries, you will be primarily responsible for the HR team in the India office and partnering with the HQ in the UK.

You will be involved in a complete HR services/people services management role where you will be responsible for the end-to-end HR process and operational delivery across the organisation. This offers an opportunity to showcase your skills and passion for excellent service delivery and the continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and the use of technology. You will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across the global organisation as well as within HR to deliver on shared goals.

You will be responsible for building and developing a robust HR team to manage HR operations in India and provide HR services as required for offices in the UK and Europe.

 

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition:

  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding and employer branding, ensuring the company attracts and retains top talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive talent pipeline, proactively identifying potential candidates for current and future needs.

 

Employee Engagement:

  • Design, implement, and manage employee engagement programs and initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Conduct regular surveys, feedback sessions, and exit interviews to gauge employee satisfaction and take action to address any concerns or issues.

 

Performance Management:

  • Develop and oversee performance appraisal systems and processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers in setting performance goals, conducting reviews, and offering constructive feedback.
  • Develop and manage performance improvement plans for employees when necessary.
  • Work with the leadership team to create effective strategies for talent development and succession planning.

 

HR Compliance:

  • Stay updated on relevant labour laws and regulations in India and ensure the company’s compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring they align with legal and ethical standards.
  • Liaise with the leadership to plan and implement best practices in HR.

 

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a mediator and provide guidance in resolving workplace conflicts or disputes.
  • Promote open communication and positive employee relations.
  • Create a workplace culture to grow, develop, and retain talent.

 

Training and Development:

  • Identify training and development needs within the organisation and create learning and development programs.
  • Facilitate skill development, training, and career growth opportunities for employees.
  • Plan and implement leadership training programs.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Manage the company’s compensation structure, ensuring it remains competitive in the industry.
  • Analyse trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and other perks.

 

HR Data and Analytics:

  • Maintain accurate HR records and data to support decision-making and reporting.
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends, and recommend improvements and changes as needed.
  • Prepare and present the data reports, analytics, and findings to the leadership team.

 

Team Leadership:

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, productivity, and continuous improvement within the company.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 12-15 years of HR management experience, including leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, training and development, and HR operations.
  • Experience dealing with people with different backgrounds and able to manage relationships with all levels of employees in a multinational company.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, regulations, and compliance.
  • Certification in HR is a plus.

Candidate Preference

  • Prior experience working in the Industrial sector or manufacturing or operations or hardware.
  • Prior experience working in a B2B environment.
  • Prior experience working in an MNC environment with a focus on performance-driven culture.
  • Prior experience working for/with reputed companies in Europe/US.
