Responsibilities:
- Overall Operations Oversight:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for day-to-day operations of the bio-organic manufacturing unit.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all operational activities.
- Batch Production Management:
- Oversee batch production processes involving fermentation, extraction, and formulation of bio-organic products.
- Develop and implement efficient batch scheduling to optimize production output.
- Resource Planning:
- Plan and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and raw materials.
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of required materials.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to establish and maintain quality assurance protocols.
- Implement measures to ensure product consistency and compliance with quality standards.
- Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Introduce and oversee process improvements to enhance overall production performance.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff, ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of production equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with the engineering team for regular equipment inspections and upgrades.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure that manufacturing processes comply with relevant standards.
- Interface with regulatory bodies as needed to address compliance matters.
- Continuous Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for production processes and regularly monitor performance against set targets.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics and operational efficiency.
- Budget Management:
- Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the operational budget.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.
- Supply Chain Coordination:
- Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure smooth and timely product distribution.
- Minimize production bottlenecks related to supply chain issues.
- Environmental Sustainability:
- Implement and monitor initiatives that promote environmental sustainability within the manufacturing processes.
- Explore and adopt eco-friendly practices wherever feasible.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with R&D, sales, and marketing teams to align production strategies with market demands.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between different functional areas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management within a bio-organic manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of fermentation, extraction, and formulation processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the bio-organic industry.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
